Orlando Pirates have appointed assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi as interim coach for the remainder of the season, following the surprise departure of head coach Jose Riveiro. Ncikazi will be assisted by Head Performance Analyst Rayaan Jacobs and other members of the technical and support team.
Ncikazi, who joined Pirates in 2021, has been Riveiro's deputy since July 2022 and has played a key role in the team's success, winning five trophies together. He will oversee the team's last four matches against TS Galaxy, SuperSport United, AmaZulu, and Magesi FC.
The club confirmed Ncikazi's appointment, stating he will take charge on an interim basis, supported by Jacobs and the rest of the technical staff.
