*Orlando Pirates Confirm Coach Jose Riveiro's Departure*
Orlando Pirates have granted Head Coach Jose Riveiro an early release from his contract, which was set to expire in June 2025. Riveiro will lead the team for the final time against Golden Arrows on Tuesday evening.
Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza stated, "Jose approached us with a request to be released from his contract ahead of schedule, having signed with a new club. We respect his decision to depart before the end of his tenure."
Riveiro expressed gratitude to the club, players, and supporters, saying, "Thank you for believing in the journey we shared and for giving everything on the pitch... Your passion is something I will carry with me forever."
Assistant Coach Mandla Ncikazi will take charge of the team on an interim basis, supported by Head Performance Analyst Rayaan Jacobs and the rest of the technical and support staff.
The Pirates are calling on fans to bid farewell to Riveiro, also known as the Spanish Guitar, at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night.
