Orlando Pirates have announced their starting lineup for the highly anticipated Nedbank Cup final against arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs. Under the guidance of coach Jose Riveiro, the Buccaneers have enjoyed a remarkable cup run, remaining undefeated in the competition since his arrival in June 2022.

Pirates have showcased their trophy-winning pedigree under Riveiro, claiming five titles and consistently performing well in major finals. Despite falling short in the league title race for three consecutive seasons, their cup form has been impressive. In the Nedbank Cup, they've navigated past Richards Bay, Baroka FC, and SuperSport United (winning 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw), before edging Marumo Gallants 1-0 in the semifinals.

The starting XI features a blend of experience and youthful energy, led by goalkeeper Chaine and a strong defensive lineup including Sibisi, Mbokazi, and Van Rooyen. The midfield is anchored by Mbatha and Makhaula, while the attack is spearheaded by Mofokeng, Nkota, and Makgopa.

With this lineup, Pirates aim to continue their cup dominance and bring home the trophy. Can they overcome Kaizer Chiefs and add to their collection?
